Â
Maybe
it's because I am a Personal Development Coach
that we get round to this conversation or maybe it would happen anyway?Â
="">
Â
Not
so long ago few people in business would admit (at
least publicly) to noticing the big change, for fear of being seen as
weak or
sounding negative; maybe even feeling vulnerable.Â
="">
Â
I
am referring to the same admissions I am constantly
hearing:Â
Â
>
That business and peoples buying habits have
changed and very fastÂ
Â
>
As a general rule SME's are having to work harder
for businessÂ
Â
>
There is a frustrating amount of indecision and
reluctance to commit to anythingÂ
Â
>
An acceptance that there's no going back to old
times - which means we are all in new unfamiliar territory.Â
="">
Â
Even
the more mature men and women in business cannot
remember a time when there was so much uncertainty in life in general.
Which
means financial security, our children's job security, home life, peace
and
contentment are being rocked 'Big Time'.Â
Â
Those
who are more fortunate to have financial peace
of mind at least know someone close to them who has, anything but.Â
="">
Â
So,
with relentless budget deficit uncertainty in the
European economy and unresolved challenges in the United States, the
pressure
is piled upon us to feel concerned about our future... right?Â
="">
Â
There
are some coaches and trainers who are invariably
cheerful, upbeat, positive and even optimistic - some might say
irritatingly
so!Â
Â
I
am not one of them, fortunately or unfortunately! I
can succumb to the same concerns as everyone else - if I allow it, and
do you
know what? I don't mind admitting it either! Why? Because I am a human
like
everyone else.Â
Â
That's
not to say I let it all get on top for long
because I have learned tools and techniques to counteract all the
negativity
and uncertainty around.Â
Â
Let's
look at some certainties:Â
Â
>
We are all alive today and presumably tomorrow
too! Which means we have to find a way to adapt, change and survive, or
else...Â
Â
>
As one door closes another opens in life,
sometimes only after the first one closes. Yes this can be scary!Â
="">
Â
>
There is a solution to every problem, sometimes
we have to be more determined to find it or design one.Â
="">
Â
>
Some of the greatest successes in history have
come out of adversity.Â
Â
They
say those who adapt, survive. In all my years of
coaching and providing a personal development service, I have never
known more
ordinary people, celebrities and those in high office, in fact most
people, to
be questioning their values, ambitions, successes and disappointments
the way
they are right now.Â
Â
So,
if you fall into one of these categories, take
heart, you are not alone. It's almost like the silent subject which
most are
afraid to talk about.Â
Â
Why?
Â
The
reason is few of us have the answers or understand
why it is happening at all.Â
Â
Here
are some thoughts for you to consider:Â
Â
What
if we are moving towards a different world where
all values change for the better?Â
Â
>
Where people become more caring and thoughtful,
and while money still matters it no longer controls and divides people
to the
same extent.Â
Â
>
Where more countries and nations find a new way
to be happy and content with less reliance on the old habits which have
led us
to all this apparent chaos.Â
Â
>
Where there is hope for a fairer, more even
society in every country and we are freed of many of the shackles of
control,
expectation and tradition.Â
Â
>
Where success is multiplied by people and
goodwill coming first.Â
Â
>
The younger generation help create a new,
enjoyable and rewarding society, instead of falling victims to
relentless
challenges and failed policies.Â
Â
>
More people, from all walks of life are ready to
take responsibility for their own 'lot' in life as best they can.Â
="">
Â
>
Stress and illness are less apparent as we find a
more natural and conducive way to live our lives, more in line with
what nature
intended.Â
Â
Where
there is hope, there is possibility: where there
is possibility there can be probability.Â
style="font-size: 12pt;">
Maybe
if we all work on hope, the rest will fall into
place much more easily. Â
Â
Have
a great weekÂ
